I am grateful you journeyed to Wilted Petal!

My artistic journey began at a Park District afterschool program where I made tissue paper flowers for a Valentine’s Day display. After some decades, a corporate career, starting a family, and experiencing burnout, I embarked on a healing journey and rediscovered my passion for collage, flowers, and nature. Creating my first art piece Umbre, unlocked a creative journey that has become Wilted Petal by kyru.

I source flowers and foliage from my garden, on trips, daily walks in nature, friends and floral suppliers. Through various drying methods, I’ve personally preserved almost all of the flowers and foliage used to create my art pieces.
